Overview

“You have to reach for the greatest of the Great Names (Agatha Christie, John Dickson Carr, Ellery Queen) to find Christianna Brand‘s rivals in the subtleties of the trade.” – Anthony Boucher

Brand’s novels are ultra-tricky whodunnits where every sentence is a clue, and with multiple solutions, red herrings, and stunning surprise solutions.  The only problem is that she didn’t write enough!

Her most famous book, Green for Danger, was filmed with Alastair Sim as Inspector Cockrill.
